What happens when a prospect replies?

First, the reply has to be captured

Legiit Leads does not read your inbox, so a reply only counts once it reaches the lead in one of two ways:

• Forward it to your personal capture address, or have your inbox forward replies there automatically. How the Reply Capture Address works.
• Paste it into the lead with 📥 Paste a Reply. How to paste a reply.

What happens next

1. The reply is saved on the lead. It appears in the lead's Replies section with the date and time, auto-captured or pasted, and the sender's address when it is known. The lead's Outreach Activity adds a line such as "They replied (interested)".
2. The sequence stops. The remaining emails in the lead's 3-touch sequence are paused, so Outreach Autopilot never sends them. Drafting the sequence again later does not restart it.
3. The lead moves to Replied. A lead at New (the Working column on your Pipeline) or Contacted moves to Replied. A lead that is already Won or Lost keeps its stage.
4. The AI labels the reply as INTERESTED, OBJECTION, NOT NOW, UNSUBSCRIBE or OTHER. An unsubscribe also moves the lead to Lost, unless it is already Won. What each label means.
5. The AI drafts your answer. Under Your drafted answer you get a subject and a short reply (aimed at under 120 words) that answers what the prospect said, cites 1 or 2 verified facts from the lead's audit, mentions your priced proposal if one is live, and ends with one next step. An unsubscribe gets a one-line confirmation instead, and a not now reply asks permission to check back later. The draft follows your Writing Style settings and draws on what you sell in My Services.
6. You get an alert for live interest. For an interested or objection reply, an email titled "🔥 (business name) is interested. Answer within the hour" (or "has an objection") goes to your account's email address, quoting the reply, with an Open the Drafted Response button. The reply also shows on your Dashboard's Today panel until you mark it handled. About the alert email.

Good to know

• If Outreach Autopilot is sending for you and you open this lead in the Outreach Queue (for example from its Pipeline card), any approved email that has not gone out shows Approved, not sent. with a note that Autopilot will not send it because the sequence is paused.
• If the AI step fails, the reply is still saved, the sequence is still paused and the lead still moves to Replied. It just has no label and no drafted answer.
