How do I send the drafted answer and mark a reply handled?

Steps

1. Open the lead. Click Pipeline in the sidebar and click the lead (a lead that replies usually sits in the Replied column), or click Open the Drafted Response in a reply alert email.
2. Scroll to Replies. The newest reply is at the top. Each one shows its label (such as interested or objection), when it arrived, whether it was auto-captured or pasted, and the sender's address when Legiit Leads knows it.
3. Read Your drafted answer under the reply text: a Subject: line and the body.
4. To answer inside the same email thread, click Copy + Mark Handled. It copies the body (not the subject) to your clipboard and marks the reply handled in the same click. Open the prospect's email in your inbox, click reply, paste and send. You are done.
5. Or click Gmail or Outlook to open a new email in a new tab, or Mail App to open one in the default mail app on your computer or phone. It is addressed to the person who replied, with the subject and body filled in. Change the wording if you like, then send it.
6. After sending from Gmail, Outlook or Mail App, come back and click Mark Handled at the top of the reply, next to its date.

Opening the answer in Gmail, Outlook or your mail app does not mark the reply handled. Legiit Leads cannot see your sent folder, so click Mark Handled once you have sent it.

What Mark Handled does

• The button changes to ✓ Handled.
• An interested or objection reply leaves the "A reply is waiting for your answer" list at the top of the Today panel on your Dashboard.
• The lead's Outreach Activity list adds You answered their reply (marked handled).
• Reply Autopilot never sends an answer to a reply that is marked handled.

Mark Handled sends nothing by itself. It only records that you answered, and there is no button to undo it.

If something does not work

• There are no Gmail, Outlook or Mail App buttons. The reply has no sender address and the lead has no email address, so there is nobody to address it to. Use Copy + Mark Handled and paste the text into your reply.
• The email is addressed to the lead's address, not to the person who wrote. A reply you paste into a lead carries no sender address, so these buttons use the lead's email address instead. Change the To line in the compose window if someone else replied.
• Nothing was copied. If your browser blocks the clipboard, Copy + Mark Handled still marks the reply handled. Select the text under Your drafted answer and copy it by hand.
• There is no Your drafted answer box. The AI could not draft an answer for that reply. Write your own from your inbox, then click Mark Handled.

Good to know

• The drafted answer cannot be edited inside Legiit Leads. Change the wording in your inbox or the compose window before you send.
• Every reply has its own Mark Handled, including replies labelled not now, unsubscribe or other. Only interested and objection replies are listed on the Today panel.
