What is my Reply Capture Address and how do I use it?
Your Reply Capture Address is a personal email address at reply.legiitleads.com, shown on the Settings page in the Reply Capture Address card. Forward a prospect's reply to it, or set your inbox to forward replies there automatically, and the reply lands on the matching lead: labelled, with the lead's sequence paused and your answer already drafted.
Find your address
- Click Settings in the sidebar.
- Scroll to the Reply Capture Address card.
- Click Copy next to the address.
The address is r followed by 32 letters and numbers, then @reply.legiitleads.com. It is built from your account, so it never changes. Everyone on your team sees the same address.
Forward a reply
- Open the prospect's reply in your inbox.
- Use your email app's normal Forward button, not forward as attachment.
- Put your capture address in the To line, not in Cc or Bcc.
- Send it from the email address you log in to Legiit Leads with, or from a mailbox you connected in the Outreach Autopilot card in Settings.
- Leave the forwarded message as it is, including the quoted header with the prospect's
From:line. That line is how Legiit Leads knows who the reply came from.
The reply then appears in the lead's Replies section marked auto-captured, and everything in what happens when a prospect replies follows.
Forward replies automatically
To skip the manual step, set up a rule or filter in the inbox you log in to Legiit Leads with, or in a connected mailbox. Set the rule to forward (not redirect) replies to your capture address, so the capture address is in the To line and the prospect's From: line is inside. Then send yourself a test reply and check it lands on the lead. If it does not, forward by hand or paste the reply.
How it finds the right lead
Legiit Leads matches the prospect's address to an email saved on a lead, or to the owner email found by Owner Hunter. If there is no exact match, it looks for a lead with an email address or website on the same business domain. It never matches by domain for gmail.com, yahoo.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com, aol.com or icloud.com addresses.

Good to know
- Rather not forward? You can always paste the reply into the lead instead.
- Forwarded replies keep the prospect's email address, which Reply Autopilot needs to answer for you. Pasted replies do not. What Reply Autopilot does.
- Team members: forwards are recognised from the account owner's login email and the workspace's connected mailboxes, not from a team member's own login email. Forward from a connected mailbox, or paste the reply.
- The Reply Capture Address works on every plan.
