How do I capture a reply by pasting it into a lead?

Steps

1. Open the lead: click its row in your search results or its card on the Pipeline board.
2. Scroll to the Replies section, just below Proof Page (public, white-label).
3. Click 📥 Paste a Reply. A text box opens, and the button changes to Cancel in case you want to close it.
4. Paste the prospect's message into the box.
5. Click Capture and Draft My Answer. The button reads Analyzing… while the AI works.

The button stays greyed out until the box holds at least 2 characters.

What you will see

The reply appears at the top of Replies (newest first), showing:

• Its label, such as INTERESTED or NOT NOW. What the labels mean.
• The date and time, and the word pasted.
• Mark Handled, which you click once you have answered.
• The prospect's message.
• Your drafted answer, with a subject line, the reply text and the buttons Copy + Mark Handled, Gmail, Outlook and Mail App. The last three open the answer addressed to the lead's main email address, and appear only when the lead has one.

The lead's stage changes to Replied if it was at New or Contacted, and an interested or objection reply also sends you an alert email. Everything that happens when a reply is captured.

Good to know

• Paste just the prospect's message rather than the whole email thread, so the AI answers what they actually said. The AI reads the first 4,000 characters, and the card shows the start of long messages.
• A pasted reply has no sender address attached, so Reply Autopilot does not answer it, even if the address is in the text you pasted. Send the drafted answer yourself. Replies forwarded to your Reply Capture Address keep the sender's address and can be answered by Reply Autopilot.
• If the AI step fails, the reply is still saved and the sequence is still paused, but there is no label or drafted answer.
