Where can I see whether an email actually went to a lead?

Approving and Sending · Updated September 22, 2026

Open the lead. The Outreach Activity section at the top of the lead panel shows the state of each email in its sequence (draft, approved not sent, sent from your inbox, or sent by Autopilot) and, under it, a trail of everything that happened to the lead, newest first. The lead's card on the Pipeline carries the same send summary and the latest entry.

What you see in Outreach Activity

  • A one-line summary, for example 2 of 3 emails sent., Drafted, nothing approved or sent yet., or a line saying the email is approved but nothing has been sent yet. With Outreach Autopilot sending for you, it says when Autopilot will send it instead.
  • Each email in the sequence: Day 0: Opener, Day 3: Bump and Day 7: Breakup, each with its state: Draft, Approved, not sent, Sent from your inbox, Sent by Autopilot with the mailbox address, or Skipped. Sent emails show how long ago they went out; approved ones show how long ago you approved them.
  • The trail: the 6 newest entries, each with how long ago it happened (hover over the time for the exact date and time). Click Show All N to see the rest and Show Less to fold it back.
  • Open Drafts In Queue takes you to this lead's emails in the Outreach Queue. It reads Draft Emails In Queue when nothing has been drafted yet.

If nothing has happened yet, the section says Nothing recorded yet: no sequence drafted, nothing marked sent, no reply, no report opened for followed by the business name.

What the trail records

  • Sequence drafted by the AI
  • Added to Pipeline
  • Day 0 email approved, with how it left the app: copied to your clipboard, opened in Gmail, opened in Outlook or opened in your mail app
  • Day 0 email opened in Gmail again, when you copy or open an approved email again (at most once per mail client every 10 minutes)
  • Day 0 email sent by Autopilot from your mailbox address
  • Day 0 email sent from Gmail (you marked it sent), or from your own inbox if you copied it
  • Autopilot did not send the day 3 email: with the reason, for example that the address failed the mail-server check or is a placeholder, not a real inbox (noted at most once a day)
  • Day 7 email skipped
  • One-off email sent from Gmail (you marked it sent), for the cold email in the lead panel
  • They replied, with the reply's label, such as (interested) or (not now)
  • You answered their reply (marked handled) or Reply Autopilot answered them from your mailbox
  • You called: with the outcome you logged in Call Mode
  • They opened their audit report, with the number of opens so far
  • They booked a call for the date and time
  • Proposal published on their proof page and Proposal accepted by the name they gave
  • Moved to Contacted (or Working, Replied, Won, Lost) when the stage changes
  • Details edited by you: with what you changed

On the Pipeline card

Each card shows the send state in one line, such as 1 of 3 sent, 1 approved not sent, 1 draft, 1 approved, none sent yet or 2 drafts waiting for approval, then the latest trail entry and how long ago it happened. Open Drafts → opens the lead's emails in the Queue.

Good to know

  • Sent from your inbox means you clicked Mark As Sent. Legiit Leads cannot see your sent folder, so an email you sent but never marked still shows as approved, not sent.
  • The trail does not show whether the prospect opened your email. They opened their audit report means their proof page was opened.
  • The trail keeps the latest 80 entries. Entries that repeat (audit report opens, Autopilot skips, re-opened emails) keep only their newest few, so the one-off steps such as approvals, sends and replies are never pushed out.
  • Leads from before the trail existed still get one, rebuilt from their emails, replies, audit report opens and proposal.
