How do I remove a finding that is wrong, and can I put it back?
If you have checked a business's website and a finding is wrong, open the lead, expand Something not accurate? under Detected Problems and click the ✕ button next to that finding, for example ✕ Domain expiring soon. It leaves the lead's problems, the proof page and the opportunity score straight away, and it stays out when the site is audited again. To undo it, click restore next to the finding in the Removed as inaccurate: line.
Remove a finding
- Open the lead.
- Under Detected Problems, click Something not accurate? to expand it. It only shows when the lead has at least one finding.
- Click the ✕ button with the finding's name on it, for example ✕ Domain expiring soon or ✕ No Meta pixel. Hovering over a button shows Remove this finding.
The lead updates at once:
- The finding disappears from Detected Problems and from the lead's problems in the results table.
- The lead is re-scored without it.
- The prospect's proof page no longer shows its check as failed.
- The AI no longer sees it in the lead's list of problems. Emails, sequences, call briefs and reply drafts written from then on never mention it.
- Legiit Leads records which check was wrong and on what kind of website, so that check can be improved.
The removal sticks. When the site is audited again, for example after Google PageSpeed runs or when the prospect opens the proof page, the finding stays out. It is also kept out of the Worth a look, not verified box.
Put a finding back
Removed findings are listed under Detected Problems in a line that starts Removed as inaccurate:, with a restore link after each one. Click restore and Legiit Leads checks the lead against its current audit again and re-scores it.
The finding only comes back if the current audit still supports it. If the site has changed since, for example the owner added a Meta pixel or renewed the domain, it does not return. If the audit now suspects the problem but cannot confirm it, it appears in the Worth a look, not verified box instead.
Good to know
- Removing No Meta pixel also removes No paid ads, because that finding is built on the pixel check. Taken out this way, No paid ads is not listed under Removed as inaccurate: and has no restore link of its own: restoring No Meta pixel lets both come back, if the audit still supports them. (Removing No paid ads on its own does give it a restore link.)
- The Live Website Audit table still shows what the audit stored. For example, the Domain expires row keeps showing the date and days left after you remove Domain expiring soon.
- Text the AI wrote before you removed a finding is not rewritten, and emails already sent are not changed. Check any drafts already waiting in the Outreach Queue and regenerate them if they mention it.
- Facts that are not tied to a finding still reach the AI whatever you remove: the business name, category and address, the pages the audit checked, the Google PageSpeed score, what the site is built on, the Google rank, and the star rating and review count unless you removed Low star rating or Few Google reviews. Read each draft before you approve it.
