How is the opportunity score worked out?
The opportunity score shows how much there is to pitch a business on, from 30 to 100. Every lead starts at 30 and earns points for verified problems and for having an email address, and the problems you searched for count the most. Results are sorted with the highest score first, so the best openings sit at the top.
How the points add up
- 30 points to start, for every lead.
- 20 points for each verified problem that matches a problem you ticked on New Search.
- 4 points for every other verified problem.
- 10 points if the lead has an email address.
- The total stops at 100.
For example, you tick Slow Website and No Contact Form. A lead with both of those problems, 2 other problems and an email address scores 30 + 40 + 8 + 10 = 88.
The lowest possible score is 30, for a lead with no verified problems and no email. A score can never be 0.
What does not count
- Problems in the Worth a look, not verified box. They add nothing until a later check confirms them.
- Findings you removed with Something not accurate?.
- The 💰 Spends on ads and 🏆 Closes like a winner chips. They are buying signals, not problems.
The badge colours
- Green: 75 or more.
- Amber: 50 to 74.
- Grey: below 50.
The badge shows the plain number, for example 88, not a fraction of 100. You see it in the Score column of the results table, next to the business name when you open a lead, and on Pipeline cards.
What scores to expect
When you tick problems, a business needs at least one of them to make your list, so most leads score 50 or more. A lead can still score lower if it got in on a problem that is not confirmed yet.
Imported lists and searches run with no problems ticked have nothing to match, so every verified problem counts 4 points, and a lead with no verified problems and no email sits at 30.
When the score changes
The score is worked out again when:
- The automatic Google PageSpeed check, which runs in the background after a search completes, confirms or clears findings. Its results can land a few minutes later.
- You click ⚡ Get Google's Official Score on the lead.
- You remove a finding with Something not accurate?, or click restore to bring one back.
- The AI Invisibility Check answers for your search. A business the AI did not name gains the No AI-search presence problem, and one it named loses it.
- The checks re-run when someone opens the lead's proof page.
Adding an email with ✎ Edit Details does not add the 10 points straight away. They are counted the next time the score is worked out.
Good to know
Legiit Leads also uses the score for its deal-value estimates: each lead in Contacted or Replied counts as its score times 8 US dollars. Added up, that is the Pipeline Value card on the Dashboard, and score times 8 is also the value recorded when you mark a lead Won without an accepted proposal.
