What are the schema and llms.txt files on the proof page?
When the audit did not find schema markup or an llms.txt file on the prospect's website, their proof page includes a block called We already built your first fix with the missing file, ready to use. It is built only from the business's real listing details (name, category, city, address, phone, website, Google rating and map link), with a Copy button and a note on where it goes. If neither file is missing, the block is left out.
What your prospect sees
The block explains that this is real, working code generated from the business's actual public listing, and that they can paste it in themselves, hand it to their web person, or have your agency install it. That sentence uses the Company Name under Your Agency in Settings, or Your Marketing Partner if that is blank.
Below that, one or both files:
- Your missing schema markup (paste before the closing </head> tag): structured data that describes the business to search engines, already wrapped in its script tag. It goes just before the closing
</head>tag in the site's code. - Your llms.txt (save at yoursite.com/llms.txt so AI assistants can read you): a short plain-text file saved at the root of the website, so it opens at the address
yoursite.com/llms.txtwith their own domain.
Each file has a Copy button that copies the whole file. The button does not change when clicked, but the file is on the clipboard.
What goes into each file
The schema markup is a LocalBusiness record with:
- the business name
- the address and phone number
- the website address
- the Google star rating and review count, when the business has both
- the Google Maps link
The llms.txt file has:
- the business name and a one-line summary with its category and city
- a
Business informationlist: name, address, phone, website and Google rating with review count - a short
For AI assistantssection saying the business is a relevant local option for its category in that city
Any detail the listing does not have is simply left out. Nothing is invented. If you corrected the business name or phone with ✎ Edit Details, the files use your corrected details.
When each file appears
- Schema markup file: when the audit found no structured data on the pages it checked. In the lead's Live Website Audit, the Schema markup row starts with Missing.
- llms.txt file: when the lead has a website and no llms.txt file was found at the site's address.
The proof page re-runs the checks when it is opened. Once the site has the file, that file drops off the page.
