Why does Owner Hunter say no decision-maker could be identified?

Why it happens

• The pages it read do not name anyone. Owner Hunter looks for an owner, founder or lead practitioner. A site that only says "our team" gives it nothing to report.
• The name is somewhere it does not look. It reads the homepage and up to 2 about, team or staff style pages linked from it. A name that only appears on another page, inside an image, or far down a long page (after the first 7,000 characters) is missed.
• The site fills in its text with scripts. Owner Hunter reads each page as the site first sends it, so a site that loads its words after the page opens can look almost empty.
• The homepage could not be read. If the site is down, turns away automated visitors, or takes more than 10 seconds to answer, there is nothing to read and you get the same message. An about or team page that cannot be read is simply skipped.

What you will see

The message appears in a red box in the Decision-Maker section. If a decision-maker was already on the lead and you clicked Re-Hunt, that name stays.

Leads with no website do not get the 🎯 Hunt Owner button at all. The section shows No website to hunt on. instead.

Any other problem shows its reason in the same red box, or Hunt failed. when no reason was given. You can click the button again to retry.

What to do next

1. Open the website link in the lead header and check the about or contact page yourself.
2. If you find or already know the owner's name, click ✎ Edit Details in the lead header.
3. Type the name in Contact First Name, and their address in Email if you have it.
4. Click Save Details. The Decision-Maker section then shows the name with Entered by you, and emails greet them by first name.
