How does Owner Hunter find the decision-maker?

Steps

1. Open the lead from your search results or from the Pipeline.
2. Find the Decision-Maker section, below Outreach Activity.
3. Click 🎯 Hunt Owner. The button only appears on leads that have a website. Once a decision-maker is set, it reads Re-Hunt.
4. The result appears in the same section when the hunt finishes.

How it works

• Owner Hunter starts with the homepage, then follows up to 2 links from it, on the same website, whose address mentions about, team, meet, staff, our-team, providers, doctors, founder or leadership.
• It reads the text of those pages as the site sends them (the first 7,000 characters of each page), not the images.
• AI looks for the owner, founder or lead practitioner. It only reports a person when the text clearly supports it, it must quote the words that prove it, and it never guesses. If nobody is clearly named, you are told so instead.
• If a personal address such as a name@ address appears near the person, it is preferred over a general info@ address.

What you will see

The card shows the person's name, their role and their email address when one was found. Under it, Evidence: shows the quote from their site, with a source link to the page it came from, so you can check it yourself.

What changes on the lead

• If Owner Hunter finds the person's own email address, and it is not a placeholder, that address becomes the lead's sending address: the one your drafts and Autopilot send to. It moves to the top even if the audit had already found it lower down the list, and its (verified) or (unverified) mark is checked again for the new address.
• Emails you draft for the lead greet the decision-maker by first name, so Dr. Jane Smith is greeted as Jane.
• The name also shows next to the lead's email address in the Outreach Queue.

Good to know

• A name you typed yourself with ✎ Edit Details shows Entered by you instead of a quote. Click Re-Hunt to look for a name and direct email on their site.
• Re-Hunt only replaces the current name when it finds someone. If it finds nobody, the name you already had stays.
• Owner Hunter is included on every plan and does not use your monthly searches.
