What is the Google AI answer verdict on the proof page?

What the prospect sees

Inside the New for 2026: AI search visibility block on the proof page, below the AI assistant's answer:

• The heading And Google's own AI answer, captured the same day.
• The first 300 characters of Google's answer, in quotes.
• One of 2 verdicts, with the business name filled in: ✓ Smith Dental appears in Google's AI answer. or ✗ Smith Dental is not in Google's AI answer either. Two AIs, zero mentions.

The verdict is not shown in the lead drawer. To see it, open the lead and click Preview under Proof Page (public, white-label).

When it appears

All 3 of these must be true for the search:

1. The AI Invisibility Check ran and gave the lead a verdict. The Google verdict sits inside that block, so without it nothing shows.
2. The Google results check ran for that search. When it did not, no lead in that search has a Google verdict or a #N rank badge, and your search still completes normally.
3. Google showed an AI Overview for those keywords and that location. Google shows one for some searches and not others, and when there is none, the proof page has no Google block.

How a lead is matched

The lead's name is cleaned up the same way as for the AI assistant: lowercased, punctuation removed, and words such as LLC, Inc, DDS, "the" and "and" dropped. The whole cleaned-up name then has to appear in Google's answer. If Google uses a shorter or different form of the name, the verdict is ✗. A name shorter than 5 characters after cleanup is never counted as found.

Good to know

• Both answers are the ones captured when your search ran. They are not asked again when someone opens the proof page.
• The ✗ verdict always ends with "either" and Two AIs, zero mentions, even when the AI assistant above did name the business.
• The public report from the Market Report button shows Google's AI Overview text too, under When customers ask AI who to hire, even for a search where the AI assistant check did not run.
