What is the AI Invisibility Check and how do I see the AI's answer?

How the check works

1. While your search audits each website, an AI assistant is asked a question built from your keywords and location, for example Who are the best dentists in Tempe, AZ?. It is told to search the web, answer the way it would answer a customer, and recommend 5 to 8 businesses by name.
2. When the audits are done, each lead is compared with the names in the answer. Punctuation and endings such as LLC, Inc or DDS are ignored, so Smith Dental in the answer counts for a lead called Smith Dental Care.
3. A lead the AI did not name gets the No AI-search presence problem. A lead it did name loses that problem, even if its website has no llms.txt file or schema. The score is recalculated either way.
4. If you picked Invisible to AI Search on New Search, leads the AI did not name can join your list at this point.

What you will see

• In the results table: AI ✗ or AI ✓ next to the business name. Hover over it to read Absent when AI was asked for the best in this market or Named in the AI answer for this search.
• In the lead drawer: under Detected Problems, a line reads ✓ Named in the AI answer for this search or ✗ ABSENT when AI was asked for the best in this market: strongest pitch angle.

See the AI's answer

1. Open the search's results. Above the table, the 🤖 AI Invisibility Check card shows the exact question and a line such as 12 of 40 leads never came up in the answer.
2. Click See the AI's Answer → (the whole card works).
3. The What AI tells customers: live answer, not a mockup window shows your question and the AI's full answer, with the businesses it recommended highlighted. The line underneath says when it was asked.
4. Below the answer, In the answer (N): they're winning AI search lists your leads the AI named. N businesses are invisible to AI search lists the ones it did not, each tagged ✉ has email or no email.
5. Click any business in either list to open its lead drawer.

Good to know

• Businesses the AI named that are not among your leads are highlighted in the answer but not listed below it.
• The AI is asked once, when the search runs. Very long answers are kept to their first 3,000 characters.
• The same answer is used across the app. AI-written emails for a lead the AI did not name can mention the question and the first 3 businesses it recommended. The proof page shows the question, up to 5 of the recommended names and whether the business was mentioned. For a lead the AI did not name, up to 5 of the named businesses can fill the Who's getting those customers instead table.
