What does a State of the Market report contain?

The stat tiles

• Businesses checked: how many businesses are in this search's results. If you used problem filters, the search looked at more businesses than this and kept the ones that matched.
• Invisible to AI search: the share of the checked businesses that the AI answer did not name. It only appears when the search ran an AI check.
• Missing schema markup
• Load slower than 2s
• Broken or missing SSL
• Not mobile ready
• No analytics installed
• Average Google rating: the average star rating, shown only when at least one business has a rating.

The website percentages (Missing schema markup, Load slower than 2s, Broken or missing SSL, Not mobile ready and No analytics installed) are worked out over the businesses that have a website the audit could reach. A business with no website, or one that could not be loaded, is left out of those figures but still counts under Businesses checked. Invisible to AI search is different: it is worked out over every business the AI check covered, whether or not it has a website.

A tile turns red once the number crosses a threshold: Invisible to AI search and Missing schema markup above 50%, Load slower than 2s above 30%, Not mobile ready above 20%, and Broken or missing SSL above 10%. No analytics installed and Average Google rating are never coloured red.

When customers ask AI who to hire

This section appears when the search captured either kind of AI answer for that market. It can hold two cards, and you may see only one of them. AI assistant answer shows the first 400 characters of the answer the assistant gave, and lists the businesses it actually named after Named:. Google's AI Overview shows the first 400 characters of the AI Overview Google returned for the same market.

The market leaderboard

The market leaderboard lists up to 25 businesses, ranked by the fewest verified problems first and, where two are level, by the higher star rating. The columns are #, Business, Rating, AI visible (only when the search ran an AI check) and Verified issues.

Under Verified issues a business shows its problem count followed by up to 3 of the problem names, or All checks passed when nothing was found against it.

Is your business on this list?

The report closes with a dark block headed Is your business on this list?, your agency name, and a Get My Free Audit button in your accent colour. The button opens the reader's mail app with an email to you already addressed and the subject already written as Free audit: your keywords report. It goes to the email address on your account, and the button only appears when there is one on file.

Under that, a line records the date the data was collected, followed by Powered by Legiit Leads. unless you have removed the credit.
