Why is there no AI check on my search, or why is a lead marked wrong?

AI Search Visibility ยท Updated September 23, 2026

If the AI assistant could not be asked, or its answer named no businesses, the search simply has no AI โœ“ or AI โœ— badges and no ๐Ÿค– AI Invisibility Check card. The search itself still finishes normally. A lead can be marked wrong when the AI wrote its name differently, and you can take No AI-search presence off that lead under Something not accurate?.

Why a search has no AI check

  • The AI could not be reached, declined to answer, or gave an answer that could not be read. The search carries on without it and shows no error.
  • The AI answered but named no businesses, so there was nothing to compare your leads with.
  • The list is an import, or the Inbound audits list from your branded audit link. These only audit websites and never ask the AI.

There is no setting that turns the check on or off. Every new search asks the AI again.

Without an AI answer, a lead can still show No AI-search presence, but only as a guess from its website: it has neither an llms.txt file nor schema markup. See What does the AI-search ready row mean and how is llms.txt checked? The proof page also has no AI block and no Who's getting those customers instead table.

Why a lead can be marked wrong

Names are matched loosely. Both names are lowercased, punctuation is removed, and words such as LLC, PLLC, Inc, Corp, PC, PA, DDS, DMD, MD, "the", "of" and "and" are dropped. A lead counts as named when one cleaned-up name contains the other. If either is shorter than 5 characters after that, the two must match exactly.

  • AI โœ—, but the AI did name it: the AI used a different form of the name. For example, Dr. Smith's Dental in the answer does not match a lead called Smith Dental Care.
  • AI โœ“, but the AI named someone else: a shorter name inside a longer one counts. Tempe Dental in the answer matches a lead called Tempe Dental Arts.

Open See the AI's Answer โ†’ to check the names yourself before you decide.

Fix a wrong AI โœ—

  1. Open the lead.
  2. Under Detected Problems, click Something not accurate?.
  3. Click โœ• No AI-search presence.

The problem comes off the lead's problem list and score, and out of the problems listed in its emails and on its proof page. It stays off even when the lead is checked again. It moves to Removed as inaccurate:, where restore puts it back.

Removing it does not change the record of what the AI said. The AI โœ— badge and the ABSENT line stay, and the proof page still shows the AI's answer with the business marked as not mentioned. Emails, sequences, call briefs and reply drafts the AI writes from then on stop mentioning that the AI did not name it, while anything already written or sent is left as it is. Changing the business name with Edit Details does not re-check the AI answer either.

A wrong AI โœ“ has nothing to remove: the lead simply does not get No AI-search presence from the AI answer.
