What happens if I break the Acceptable Use rules?
Legiit Leads may suspend or terminate an account that breaks the Acceptable Use rules in the Terms and Conditions. The same can happen for non-payment, or where the law requires it. If an account is terminated, your right to use the service ends and your data is deleted within 30 days, except for records the law requires us to keep.
The rules you agree to
Under 7. Acceptable Use on the Terms and Conditions page, you agree not to:
- Send unlawful, deceptive or unsolicited bulk communications. You are solely responsible for making sure your outreach complies with the laws that apply to you and to your recipients, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, PECR, CASL and similar laws.
- Record calls without the consents the law requires. If you use call tracking, you must follow the call recording and monitoring laws that apply to you and your callers, including getting consent where all parties must consent, and you must tell your clients that their calls are recorded and transcribed.
- Resell, redistribute or bulk export platform data as a data product. Reselling access to the platform itself is fine where SaaS Mode expressly allows it on eligible plans.
- Probe, scrape, overload or interfere with the service, or access it by automated means outside the product's normal features.
- Use the service to harass any person or business, or misrepresent who you are in outreach the platform helps you prepare.
The Terms end that list by saying we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
When an account can be closed
11. Termination covers all of it. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service for breach of the Terms, for non-payment, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends.
What happens to your data
Deletion follows the Privacy Policy. Under 5. Retention and Deletion, your data is kept while your account is active, and once the account is closed we delete your account data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep specific records such as billing records.
If you have a team
If you invite people into your workspace, each of them must comply with the Terms, and the account owner is responsible for all activity by invited users, including their outreach and their use of connected services.
