How do I skip one email in a sequence, and what happens to the later ones?

Steps

1. In the Outreach Queue, go to the lead. From a lead panel you can click Open Drafts In Queue instead, or Open Drafts → on its Pipeline card.
2. Click the tab of the day you do not want to send, for example Day 3: Bump.
3. Click Skip Touch, the button with red lettering at the end of the row. There is no confirmation step.

Skip Touch shows on any email that has not gone out and is not already skipped, as long as the lead is not marked Won or Lost. An email that has been sent cannot be skipped.

What happens to the later emails

Follow-ups are counted from the last email that actually went out, so a skipped email simply drops out of the timing.

• Skip the bump: the breakup is due 7 days after the opener went out.
• Skip the breakup: the sequence ends after the bump.
• Skip the opener: the follow-ups no longer wait for it. With Outreach Autopilot on, an approved follow-up that said it would send after the day 0 email goes out (approve or skip it first) stops waiting. As nothing has been sent yet, its timing counts from your approvals instead, and the blue Approved. note shows when it will send.

Where the skip shows

• In the Queue, the tab is greyed out and struck through.
• In the lead panel, Outreach Activity lists that day as Skipped and adds Day 3 email skipped (or day 0 or 7) to the trail.
• On the Pipeline card, a lead with every email skipped shows All touches skipped.
• Once a lead has no drafts left to approve, it drops out of the Queue list, and the Showing line counts it as fully approved or skipped (open them from the Pipeline). With Autopilot off, a lead stays listed while an approved email still needs sending.

Good to know

• Skipping does not use any of your daily approval allowance.
• Like approving, skipping an email for a lead that is still New puts it on your Pipeline board in Working.
• There is no unskip button. To send a skipped email after all, open its tab and approve it as usual, or click Regenerate This Touch to turn it back into a fresh draft.
