Why is the Outreach Queue in this order, and what does the Showing line mean?
The Outreach Queue lists your open leads that have an email address and still have work waiting for you: a sequence to draft, a draft to approve, or an approved email you still have to send yourself. Leads whose proof page was opened in the last 48 hours come first, then fresh wound drafts from your market monitor, then everyone else by highest score. The Showing N of your M leads line above the lead explains who is left out and why.
Which leads are listed
A lead is in the Queue when all of these are true:
- It has at least one email address. Leads without one are hidden unless you click Show Them Anyway.
- It is not marked won or lost.
- It still has work left: no sequence drafted yet (you will see ✦ Draft 3-Touch Sequence), at least one draft to approve, or an approved email that has not been sent.
Approved emails only count as work while Outreach Autopilot is not sending for you. When Autopilot is on and you have a verified, active mailbox connected, sending approved emails is Autopilot's job, so they leave your list.
The order
- Hot leads. Someone opened the lead's proof page in the last 48 hours. These show a red 🔥 read their audit badge with how many hours ago, plus the total number of opens once there is more than one.
- Fresh wound drafts. Openers written automatically after a Monitored Markets scan caught a new problem on the lead.
- Everyone else, highest opportunity score first.
Inside the hot group, fresh wound drafts still come first, and every group is sorted by highest score.
The Queue picks up changes when you come back to its browser tab, and every 2 minutes while Autopilot has approved emails waiting to go. The list can re-sort then, but the lead you are working on stays in place until you move to another one, even if it no longer qualifies (for example, you just approved its last draft).
What the Showing line counts
N is how many leads are in the Queue right now. M is every lead in your account, across all your searches. The rest of the line accounts for the difference, and each part only appears when its count is above 0:
- have no email address yet: open leads with work left but no address. Click Show Them Anyway to add them; the button then reads Hide Them.
- have an address that failed the mail-server check: these leads are in the list. A green ✓ next to an address means it passed. Autopilot re-checks the address every time it runs, so it skips the lead only while the check is still failing, and sends as soon as the address answers.
- are fully approved or skipped: nothing left for you here. Open them from the Pipeline. With Autopilot off, a lead only counts as done once each email is marked sent or skipped.
- are won or lost: closed leads never appear in the Queue.
If you opened a lead from the Pipeline that the Queue would not normally list, the first sentence adds , plus the lead you opened, before the counts below.
Moving through the Queue
- The line at the top of the card, for example Lead 3 of 12, shows where you are in the list.
- ← Prev and Next → step through the leads. They are greyed out at the first and last lead.
- Open In Pipeline opens the same lead in your Pipeline with its details showing.
If the draft on screen has unsaved changes, all three ask This draft has unsaved edits. Leave without saving them? first. Click Cancel, then Save Edits, to keep your changes.
