How do I log a call outcome in Call Mode, and what happens to the lead?

Hot Leads and Call Mode · Updated September 23, 2026

After the call, type an optional note, then tap the button that matches what happened: No Answer, Gatekeeper, Callback Later, 🔥 Interested or Not Interested. 🔥 Interested moves the lead to Replied, Not Interested moves it to Lost, and any other outcome moves a lead that is still New to Contacted.

Steps

  1. Dial from the green phone number button on the lead's card.
  2. If you want, type a note in the box under the call brief, for example who you spoke to.
  3. Tap the outcome. The next lead appears and the logged this session count at the top goes up by 1.

To move on without recording anything, tap Skip without logging →. The lead keeps its stage and comes back the next time you open Call Mode.

What each outcome does to the lead

  • No Answer, Gatekeeper and Callback Later: the call is recorded. A lead that is still New moves to Contacted. A lead already in Contacted or Replied stays where it is.
  • 🔥 Interested: a New or Contacted lead moves to Replied. A lead already in Replied stays there.
  • Not Interested: the lead moves to Lost and leaves Call Mode.

A New lead sits in the Working column of your Pipeline, or is not on the Pipeline yet. Once a call moves it to Contacted, Replied or Lost, it shows on the Pipeline board in that column.

Every call also adds a line to the lead's activity trail: You called: no answer, You called: gatekeeper, You called: callback, You called: interested or You called: not interested.

When you reach the end of the list

After the last lead, Call Mode shows Session done: with the number of calls you logged. If you skipped every lead and logged nothing, it shows No callable leads right now. instead. Every lead that is not Won or Lost is back in the list the next time you open Call Mode, including callbacks, no answers, interested leads and leads you skipped. Leads in Won or Lost drop out, which includes every lead you marked Not Interested.

Good to know

  • Callback Later does not set a time or a reminder. It records the outcome and the lead stays in Call Mode in the usual order: leads that opened their proof page in the last 24 hours first, then leads with no email address, then the highest scores.
  • Your note is saved with the call, up to 300 characters, but the app shows only the outcome, not the note text. Keep callback times somewhere you will see them, such as your calendar.
  • If you use Outreach Autopilot, it does not send a lead's remaining approved emails while the lead is in Replied or Lost. A Lost lead also leaves the Outreach Queue.
  • Logged the wrong outcome? Change the stage by hand on the Pipeline board or with the stage buttons at the top of the lead panel. See how to move a deal between stages.
