How do I update my card or find my invoices?
Your card and invoices are handled in Stripe's billing portal. In Settings, click Manage Billing in the Your Plan card to open the portal for your subscription, and when you leave the portal it brings you back to Settings.
Steps
- Click Settings in the sidebar.
- In the Your Plan card, click Manage Billing next to your plan name and status.
- A line under the card reads Opening Stripe…, then the Stripe billing portal opens in the same tab.
- Update your payment method or look through your invoices there.
- When you are done, the portal sends you back to Settings.
What the portal is for
The portal handles three things: updating the card your subscription is charged to, looking through the invoices already raised on it, and cancelling. Changing plan is not one of them. To move between plans, or between monthly and annual, close the portal and use Switch Plan (Prorated Instantly) in the Your Plan card instead. See how to upgrade, downgrade or switch between monthly and annual.
Good to know
- The portal belongs to Stripe, which handles your Legiit Leads subscription. Your subscription and its billing history live there, not inside the app.
- If your last payment failed, your plan status shows past_due in red. Updating your card in the portal is how you fix it. See what past_due means.
- Cancelling is also done in the portal, and it takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for. See how to cancel your subscription.
If it does not work
- Portal failed. or another message appears under the card instead of the portal opening. Nothing was changed. Reload Settings and click Manage Billing again.
- Your plan is managed by the account owner. You are signed in as a team seat, so the Your Plan card shows only that line and no Manage Billing button. Ask the account owner to update the card or send you an invoice.
- Your plan is billed by your provider. Contact them to change or cancel. Your account was set up through another agency's signup page, so that agency bills you and holds your card details. The card shows only that line, with no Manage Billing button. Ask them for an invoice or to change the card.
- There is no Manage Billing button. Lifetime accounts have no subscription to manage, and once a subscription is canceled the card shows the plan cards instead. See why Manage Billing or Switch Plan may be missing.
