Is my data lost after a crash or restart?

Searches and Pages That Will Not Load · Updated September 23, 2026

No. Your leads, searches, clients, templates and settings are stored in a database, not inside the running app, so a restart or a crash does not erase them. When Legiit Leads comes back, everything is where you left it.

A search that was cut off mid run

The one thing a restart can interrupt is a search that was still auditing websites at that moment. It cannot pick up where it stopped, so when Legiit Leads starts up again it is closed out with the status Error and this message:

"This search was interrupted by a server restart before it finished. The leads it had already found are kept. Run it again for the full list."

A search that had only just started can keep showing Running instead. Either way, it will not finish, so run it again.

Those leads are yours to keep and work. The only thing missing is the rest of the list, which you get by running the same search again.

Scheduled work does not repeat itself

A market scan, a delivery re-check or a monthly client report that was interrupted does not start over every time Legiit Leads restarts, so you will not get the same report twice. A market scan that keeps failing also waits longer before each new attempt instead of retrying over and over.

If you would rather not keep a half finished search in your list:

  1. Open Search History from the sidebar.
  2. Find the search that shows Error (or is still stuck on Running) in the Status column.
  3. Click Delete and confirm "Delete this search and all its leads?".
  4. Start the same search again from New Search.
Deleting a search also deletes the leads it found. If you have already added any of them to your Pipeline or written emails for them, work those first, or simply leave the old search in place and run a fresh one alongside it.
