What is the phone screenshot on the proof page?

The Proof Page · Updated September 22, 2026

The phone screenshot is the final frame of Google's own PageSpeed test of the prospect's website, loaded as a phone visitor. Legiit Leads does not take it, Google does. It shows on the proof page under How Google's phone sees your site, next to the score Google gave the site, once a PageSpeed test on that lead has saved a screenshot.

What your prospect sees

The screenshot sits in a phone-shaped frame. Beside it, the text makes clear it is not a screenshot your agency took: it is the final frame from Google's own PageSpeed test of their site on a phone, with the score the site got, for example 47/100. A second line points out that most of their customers see this version first, so if it looks broken, slow or dated here, that is what those customers experience.

Where the screenshot comes from

The screenshot is saved whenever a Google PageSpeed test runs on the lead and Google sends one back. The test runs in two ways:

  • Automatically after a search: when a search finishes, Legiit Leads runs the test in the background on up to 25 of its leads whose audit still has findings it could not confirm. The last results can land several minutes after the search shows complete.
  • When you run it yourself: open the lead and click ⚡ Get Google's Official Score in the Live Website Audit header. It takes about 20 seconds. See How do I get Google's official PageSpeed score for a lead?

The screenshot is only shown on the proof page, not inside the lead. To look at it yourself, open the lead and click Preview in the Proof Page (public, white-label) section.

Good to know

  • The screenshot is not retaken when the prospect opens the page. The proof page re-runs its own checks when it is opened, but keeps the screenshot and Google score from the earlier test, so the image shows the site as Google saw it during that test.
  • When no screenshot has been saved, the block is simply left out. That happens when the lead has no website, when no PageSpeed test has run on it yet, or when Google's image was too large to keep.
  • A lead can have a Google score but no screenshot. Once a lead has a score, the button is gone, so the test cannot be run again from the lead to fetch one.
  • The screenshot and the PageSpeed test are included on every plan.
