How do I check my sending domain with Deliverability Guardian?

Approving and Sending · Updated September 23, 2026

At the top of the Outreach Queue, type the domain you send cold email from into Deliverability Guardian and click Check DNS. Legiit Leads looks up your SPF, DMARC and DKIM records live and shows a green or red badge for each, plus the share of your leads whose email address is verified. It only advises: a red badge never blocks an approval or pauses Autopilot.

Steps

  1. Open Outreach Queue from the sidebar. Deliverability Guardian is the first card on the page.
  2. In the box that shows yourdomain.com, type the part of your sending address after the @. For jane@youragency.com, type youragency.com. If you paste a web address such as https://www.youragency.com/, the https://, the www. and anything after the first / are ignored.
  3. Click Check DNS. The button reads Checking… while the lookups run.
  4. Four badges appear. The small text under each one is cut short when it is long: hover over it to read it all.

After a check, your domain is saved and filled in the next time you open the Queue. The badges are not kept: click Check DNS again whenever you want a fresh result.

What the badges mean

Green with ✓ means the record was found. Red with ✗ means it was not.

  • SPF: a TXT record on your domain that starts with v=spf1. When green, the record itself shows under the badge. When red, it says No v=spf1 record found.
  • DMARC: a TXT record at _dmarc. followed by your domain, starting with v=DMARC1. When red, it says No _dmarc record found.
  • DKIM: looked for under the selector names big email providers use: google, default, selector1, selector2, k1, s1, s2, mail, zmail and mx. When green, it names the one it found, such as selector: google. When red, it says Not found on common selectors. Check your email provider. A red DKIM does not prove you have no DKIM: your provider may use a selector the check does not try, so ask them which one they use.
  • N% verified emails: of all your leads that have an email address, the share whose address passed the mail-server check. At 80% or more it is green with Bounce risk low. Below 80% it is red with High bounce risk: send only to verified (✓) addresses. This badge is about your leads, not your domain.

Under the badges, a line suggests how fast to build up volume: 10 to 20 emails a day in week 1, 30 to 40 in week 2, 50 to 75 in week 3, then under about 100 a day per inbox. It calls your domain configured when SPF and DKIM are both green. This line is advice. The limit Legiit Leads actually applies is the send governor's daily approval allowance.

It advises, it does not block

A red badge is a warning to fix your DNS. It does not block approvals, pause the Queue or stop Outreach Autopilot, and the send governor does not read it. Ask your email provider, or whoever manages your domain, to add the missing record, then click Check DNS again.

If the check does not work

  • The SPF, DMARC and DKIM badges are all red. Check the spelling of the domain. A domain that does not exist shows all three records as not found, not as an error.
  • A red box appears instead of badges, such as Check failed. The check could not finish. Click Check DNS again.
  • Check DNS is greyed out. Type a domain first.

Deliverability Guardian is included on every plan.
