What happens to each row when I resurrect a list?

Resurrect a List · Updated September 22, 2026

Every row with a business name becomes a lead. A row with a website gets the same live audit as a lead from a normal search, then its emails, problems and score are filled in; if the website no longer loads, the lead is flagged dead site. Rows with no website are kept with the No website problem.

Step by step

  1. 6 at a time. Rows are worked through 6 at a time, and each lead appears on the results page as soon as it is done.
  2. Live audit. A row with a website is audited live: the homepage, then the contact, about and booking pages the audit can find. Rows without a website are not audited.
  3. Emails. Emails found on the site are attached, and the first one is checked for a working mail server, shown as (verified) or (unverified) in the lead drawer. Emails in your file are not used.
  4. Problems. Worked out from the audit as for a search, with two differences: there is no Google data, so Low star rating and Few Google reviews never appear, and there are no search keywords, so Weak title tag only flags a missing or generic title.
  5. Dead site check. If the website from your file gave back no working page, dead site is added at the front of the problems.
  6. Score. 30 points, plus 4 for each problem and 10 if an email was found, up to 100. An import has no problem filters, so no problem earns the 20 points a matching problem earns on a search.
  7. Complete. When every row is done, the import is marked Complete.

The import is named after your label (or Imported list if you left it blank), and its location reads N imported rows, where N is the number of rows actually imported.

What dead site means

The audit could not get a working page from the website in your file: nothing answered over HTTPS or plain HTTP, or the site answered only with an error page. The lead's Live Website Audit shows the Website row as Unreachable, and the grey dead site pill is always first among its problems. A dead site with no email scores 34.

Treat it as a warning. The business may have closed or moved to a new website, so check it still exists (look it up, or call the number from your file) before you spend an email on it. Sites that block automated visits can also end up here, so open the website yourself before deciding.

Rows with no website

These get No website and Incomplete GBP (a business without a website is counted as having an incomplete profile), so they score 38. If your file has a phone number for the row, it shows in the Contact column.

Good to know

dead site is only added during the import. If the lead's problem list is rebuilt later, for example when you remove a finding or its website is checked again, dead site is not put back.
