Why did my list import fail?

What the red message can say

• No rows to import.: none of the rows had anything in the column chosen as Business name column (required). Check that the picker points at the column with the business names.
• You've used all N searches on your plan this month. Upgrade in Settings to keep hunting.: an import counts as 1 search, and this month's allowance is used up (the number matches your plan).
• Your account does not have an active plan. Choose a plan in Settings to start searching. Every plan begins with a 7 day free trial.: imports need a plan, just like searches.
• This account's subscription isn't active (past due or canceled). Contact your provider to restore access.: only on an account an agency resells to you through SaaS Mode.
• Import failed., or another short message: something else went wrong. Click Resurrect N Rows again.

If the button is greyed out

Resurrect N Rows stays disabled until both of these are true:

• Business name column (required) has a column picked. It shows Pick a column… when none is.
• At least one data row sits under the header row. The line above the button shows how many were found, for example 0 data rows detected.

If no column pickers appear at all, the page found no text in what you loaded. Check the file is a CSV with a header line, or paste the text into the box instead.

What never makes an import fail

• A file with more than 200 rows. The line above the button warns that only the first 200 will run and that larger files should be split, the button reads Resurrect 200 Rows, and those 200 rows are imported. Import the rest as a second list.
• A website that is down. The row is kept and flagged dead site.
• Rows with no website. They are kept with the No website problem.
• Rows with no business name. They are skipped; the rest of the list still runs.
• Extra columns. Anything other than the business name, website and phone is ignored.

If an import stops after it started

If an import stops partway, its status in Search History turns Error and the results page shows the reason in a red box. Leads saved before it stopped stay on the results page. It still counts as 1 search, because an import is counted as soon as it starts.
