How do I get my search results emailed to me as a CSV?

Steps

1. Click New Search in the sidebar and fill in Keywords, Location and your problems as usual.
2. Tick Email me the results as a CSV when the search finishes. The box starts unticked every time you open New Search.
3. Click Search (the button may read, for example, Search (3 problems)). You go to the results page as normal, and you do not need to keep it open.

What the email contains

• The subject Your results: <keywords> in <location> (<N> leads), using the keywords and location you searched and the number of leads found.
• A short note headed Your search results are ready, saying how many leads the search finished with and that the live version, with AI pitches and proof pages, is in the app.
• An Open the Search button that takes you to the search's results page.
• The attachment legiit-leads-<keywords>.csv, with spaces and symbols in your keywords turned into hyphens, for example legiit-leads-roofing-company.csv. It has one row per lead and the same 11 columns as Full Lead Data (Generic), described in How do I export my leads to a CSV file?

When no email is sent

The email is skipped silently, with no message in the app, when:

• the search ends with the Error status instead of Complete;
• outgoing email is not set up on the platform at that moment;
• your account has no email address on file;
• something goes wrong while the file is built or sent.

A search that is still Running sends nothing until it completes. If the email does not turn up, check your spam or junk folder, then open the search and use Export CSV ▾ and Full Lead Data (Generic) to download the same list.

Good to know

• The box has to be ticked before you click Search. It cannot be added to a search that has already started or finished.
• The option only exists on New Search. Searches built with the AI Agent, the first search the onboarding wizard runs for you and lists brought in with Resurrect a List never send this email.
• If you are a team member, the email goes to the account owner's email address, not yours.
• This is one of the emails Legiit Leads sends to you rather than to a prospect, so if you hit reply it goes to help@legiit.com, not to your own account email.
• The attachment is a snapshot taken the moment the search completes. Some checks keep sharpening problems and scores for a short while after that, so export from the results page if you want the latest version.
