Why did the AI Agent fail to build my search?

What each message means

• Describe who you want to find.: the box was empty. The ✦ Build My Search button stays greyed out until you type something, so type a description first.
• The AI declined this request. Try rephrasing.: the AI would not turn your text into a search. Rewrite it as a plain description of the businesses you want to find, for example We build websites. Find contractors in Dallas with no site or an outdated one.
• Empty AI response.: the AI answered with nothing usable. Click ✦ Build My Search again, and rephrase if it happens twice.
• AI request failed., Failed to parse. or any other message: the request to the AI did not complete. Wait a minute and try again.
• AI features are temporarily unavailable. Email help@legiit.com if this lasts more than a few minutes.: the AI is switched off on our side, not on your account. Nothing you change in Settings will fix it. If it lasts longer than that, email help@legiit.com.

Writing a description the AI can use

Put three things in your sentence:

• The kind of business you want, such as dentists, plumbers or med spas.
• The city or area, such as Austin or Phoenix.
• What you sell, such as SEO, websites, ads or AI automation, so the AI can pick matching problems.

The example prompts under the button show the pattern. Click one to fill the box, then change the details to suit you.

If Run This Search is refused

Building a plan never uses a search, but Run This Search → starts a real search and goes through the same checks as New Search. If it is refused, the red box shows one of these:

• Your account does not have an active plan. Choose a plan in Settings to start searching. Every plan begins with a 7 day free trial. See Why does it say my account is not on a plan yet, so searches are locked?
• You've used all 50 searches on your plan this month. Upgrade in Settings to keep hunting. (the number matches your plan). See What happens when I use all my searches for the month?
• This account's subscription isn't active (past due or canceled). Contact your provider to restore access.: your account was set up by an agency that resells Legiit Leads, and your subscription with that agency is past due or canceled. Contact that agency to restore access.
• Keywords and location are required.: the plan came back without a business type or a city. Add both to your description and build the plan again.
