Why does a new proposal already have line items filled in?
New proposals fill themselves in from My Services in Settings. Services ticked On every proposal go in first, then your active services tagged with the problems found on this lead, at your prices, up to 10 lines. They are only a starting point: you can change, add or remove any line before you publish.
How the lines are chosen
When you click 💰 Attach Priced Proposal on a lead that has no proposal yet, Legiit Leads builds the list in this order:
- Every active service ticked On every proposal.
- For each problem found on the lead, every active service you tagged with that problem. You tag problems under the link on each service that reads, for example, Fixes 2 problems.
A service is only added once, even if it fixes several of the lead's problems. Services with Active unticked are skipped. Once the list reaches 8 lines no more problems are matched, and a new proposal never starts with more than 10 lines.
If Default note under every proposal (optional) is filled in, that text is also placed in the note box.
When you have no services, or none fit
If none of your active services is ticked On every proposal or tagged with one of the lead's problems, Legiit Leads suggests lines itself: the suggested service for each of the lead's first 4 problems, up to 3 lines, at suggested prices converted into your currency. When nothing matches at all, you get a single Website Fix Package line priced at $750, converted into your currency.

When lines are not refilled
- Once you change a line (edit it, add one or remove one), your lines are kept and never replaced.
- A published proposal keeps its own lines. Edit Priced Proposal opens with what the prospect can already see, not with your current services.
- Your services are read when you open the lead. After changing My Services and clicking Save Settings, close the lead and open it again.
- After Remove Proposal, the editor still holds the removed lines. Close the lead and open it again to start fresh from your services.
Good to know
A Per month service goes onto the proposal as a single price. The proof page shows each line's name and price only, so put "monthly" in the line name or the note if the prospect needs to know. To choose which services start on every proposal, see How do I control which services go on my proposals?
