Why does a proof link say This audit link is no longer available?
This audit link is no longer available. means Legiit Leads could not find a lead that matches the link. Proof links never expire on their own, so the link was either copied incompletely or the lead it belonged to has been deleted. Copy the link again with Copy Link in the lead drawer and send the fresh copy.
Why it happens
Each lead gets one proof link, made the first time it is needed (for example when you click Copy Link or Preview, or when an AI email adds it as a P.S.). After that the link never changes and has no end date. The page shows only this message, on an otherwise blank screen, in two cases:
- The link is not complete. The string of letters and numbers at the end must match exactly. A link cut short when it was pasted, split across two lines in an email, or with a full stop stuck to the end will not match any lead.
- The lead no longer exists. Deleting a search from Search History deletes every lead it found, along with their proof links. A deleted lead cannot be brought back, so its old link stays broken. See How do I delete a search, and what happens to its leads?
Get a working link
- Open the lead from your search results or your Pipeline.
- In the Proof Page (public, white-label) section, click Copy Link. The button shows ✓ Copied for a moment.
- Paste the link into your email or message in one piece.
- To check it yourself, click Preview. The page opens in a new tab.
If you cannot find the lead any more, it was deleted and there is no link to copy. If the business turns up in a new search, that new lead gets its own new link.
A lead with no website still has a proof page
A missing website does not break the link. The proof page opens normally and shows No website found: Google Maps listing only in place of the website checks. That is the finding, not an error.
Your branded audit link, where prospects check their own website, shows a different message: This audit page is not available. See Why does my audit link say "This audit page is not available"?
