How do I connect Stripe so I can get paid through Legiit Leads?

Steps

1. Click Settings in the sidebar.
2. Scroll to the Get Paid card and click Connect Stripe. The button shows Opening Stripe… while the link is prepared.
3. Complete Stripe's onboarding pages.
4. When you finish or leave Stripe, you land back on Settings. Check the Get Paid card.

What the Get Paid card shows

• ✓ STRIPE CONNECTED · payments enabled: you are ready to take payments.
• ONBOARDING INCOMPLETE with a Finish Stripe Setup button: Stripe has not enabled payments on your account yet. Click Finish Stripe Setup to go back to Stripe and complete the missing steps.
• Connect Stripe: no Stripe account is connected yet.

What connecting unlocks

• Payment at acceptance (Accept-to-Pay). Your priced proposals can require a deposit or the full amount at the moment a prospect accepts. This works on every plan. See How do I require a deposit or full payment when a prospect accepts?
• Monthly retainer payment links. On a client's page, the Retainer Billing card creates a Stripe payment link for that client's monthly retainer, with bank debit offered where your Stripe account supports it. Clients are won deals you promote, and promoting a deal to a client needs Agency Pro or Agency Empire. See How do I bill a client's monthly retainer through Stripe?
• SaaS Mode. On Agency Empire, SaaS Mode asks you to connect Stripe here before you can sell your own plans.

Good to know

• The money is yours. Every payment is charged on your own Stripe account. Legiit Leads never holds it and adds no platform fee.
• Payments need the green status. Until the card shows ✓ STRIPE CONNECTED · payments enabled, the proposal editor shows Connect Stripe in Settings (Get Paid) to require payment at acceptance. and any proposal you publish is signature only.
• Only the account owner can connect Stripe. Team members see the owner's Get Paid status, but Connect Stripe does not open Stripe for them.
• Check your currency. If your Stripe account settles in a different currency from the Currency you chose in Settings, a warning appears under Currency. See Why does Settings say my Stripe account settles in a different currency?
