How does the 7 day free trial work and when does it end?

How it works

1. You choose a plan when you sign up, or later from Your Plan in Settings, and Stripe checkout opens.
2. Checkout takes your card and starts a 7 day trial. Nothing is charged that day.
3. For the 7 days your plan works in full: your monthly searches, your heatmap scans and, on Agency Pro and Agency Empire, every feature of that plan.
4. When the trial ends, your card is charged for the plan you chose, monthly or annual, unless you cancelled first.

Who gets the trial

The trial is only for an account's first subscription.

• If your account has held a subscription before, for example one you cancelled, a new checkout is charged straight away, even though the plan cards still say 7-day free trial.
• A Lifetime account that takes out a subscription is also charged straight away.
• Changing plan with Switch Plan (Prorated Instantly) changes the subscription you already have and does not start a new trial.

When does my trial end?

Your trial ends 7 days after you complete checkout. Under Your Plan in Settings you see your plan name with free trial next to it, but no end date or countdown. To see the date and your first charge:

1. Open Settings and find Your Plan.
2. Click Manage Billing. A line reads Opening Stripe… and the Stripe billing portal opens.
3. Check your subscription and billing details there. When you leave the portal, it returns you to Settings.

Cancelling during the trial
