What counts as a search, and how many do I get each month?

What uses a search

• New Search: each search you run from this page uses 1. That includes a search opened with ⧉ Find More Like This on a won deal in the Pipeline, because that button fills in a normal New Search for you.
• AI Agent: clicking ✦ Build My Search only plans the search and uses nothing. Clicking Run This Search → starts it and uses 1.
• Resurrect a List: each import uses 1, however many rows your file has (up to 200 per import).
• The setup wizard: Find My First Leads runs your first real search, and it uses 1.
• Monitored Markets: each territory scan uses 1, because a scan is a full live search of that territory. That covers the first scan of a market you have just claimed, every Re-Scan Now you click and the automatic scan that follows every 7 days. The first scan does not wait for you to ask for it: after you claim a market, Legiit Leads starts that scan on its own, usually within an hour, whether or not you click Run Baseline Scan.

What does not use one

• Opening, exporting or working the leads from searches you have already run.
• Map-Pack heatmap scans. They have their own monthly allowance, explained in how many heatmap scans you get.
• The claim itself. Clicking Claim & Run First Scan Later on the claim form, or 📡 Monitor This Market Weekly on a results page, only sets the market up and uses nothing. It is the first scan of that new market, which starts by itself shortly afterwards, that uses 1.

How the count works

• A search is counted the moment it starts. A search that ends with the Error status, or one you later delete from your history, still counts.
• Unused searches do not roll over. Each month starts again from your plan's full allowance.
• Annual plans get the same monthly allowance as the monthly version of the plan, and it still resets every month.
• During the 7 day free trial you get your plan's full monthly allowance.
• Lifetime accounts get 100 searches a month.
• Team seats share your allowance. Searches run by anyone on your team count against the account owner's plan.

Where to see how many you have left

Once your account is on a plan, the meter at the bottom of the sidebar reads, for example, 12 of 50 searches this month. It turns amber with an Upgrade link once you reach 80 percent. See the searches meter for the details, and what happens when you use them all.
