What is the searches meter at the bottom of the sidebar?

Finding Your Way Around · Updated September 23, 2026

The meter shows how many searches you have used this calendar month against your plan's allowance, for example 12 of 50 searches this month, with a progress bar underneath. Once you reach 80 percent the bar turns amber and an Upgrade link to Settings appears beside the count. It only appears when your account is on a plan, so a canceled or plan-less account does not see it.

Where to find it

It sits in the sidebar footer, just above Help Center → and Fulfill work on Legiit.com →. On a phone, tap ☰ Menu at the top of the screen to open the same sidebar as a drawer, meter included.

How it counts

  • The first number is every search you have created since 00:00 UTC on the 1st of the month, so it resets monthly. It includes the onboarding wizard's Find My First Leads search, any list you bring in with Resurrect a List, and every Monitored Markets territory scan, whether you started it with Re-Scan Now or Run Baseline Scan or it ran on its weekly schedule.
  • The second number is the monthly search allowance of the plan your account is on right now.
  • The bar shows the first number as a share of the second, capped at 100 percent. Below 80 percent it is purple; from 80 percent it turns amber and Upgrade appears. Upgrade opens Settings, where the Your Plan card lists the other plans under Switch Plan (Prorated Instantly).

Why the meter may be missing

  • Your account is not on a plan. With no plan, or a canceled subscription, there is no allowance to measure against. Choose a plan from the Your Plan card in Settings and the meter appears the next time the app loads.
  • Your plan is no longer sold. The meter only recognises plans currently on offer, so a retired plan shows no meter.
  • Your account is a sub-account from a provider who resells Legiit Leads. Your allowance comes from your provider's plan rather than a Legiit Leads subscription, so no meter is drawn. Ask your provider what your monthly allowance is.
  • The numbers did not load. The meter reads its figures once, when the app opens. If that failed it stays hidden, and a search you have just run is not counted until you reload. Refresh and it catches up.

Good to know

Not every account can switch its own plan. A team seat shares the owner's plan and the owner's monthly count, so the meter you see is the whole team's, and Your Plan in Settings reads Your plan is managed by the account owner. with no plan buttons. On a sub-account from a provider who resells Legiit Leads, Your Plan reads Your plan is billed by your provider. Contact them to change or cancel. In both cases, ask the account owner or your provider for a bigger allowance.

The Your hunting so far strip on the Dashboard is a separate activity counter: its Searches figure counts every search you have finished since you joined, so it is usually higher than the sidebar meter, which only counts this month against your plan. The strip itself says Your plan meter lives in the sidebar.

The meter is only a display: the block comes when you start the search. Once you have used every search on your plan for the month, the search page refuses the next one with You've used all 50 searches on your plan this month. Upgrade in Settings to keep hunting., with your plan's number in place of 50.

Monitored Markets waits with everything else. With the month's searches used up, Re-Scan Now and Run Baseline Scan are refused with that same message, in red at the top of the Monitored Markets page, and a weekly scan that falls due is skipped and tried again later, so Last scan stays where it was. The territory is not paused and nothing about it is lost: scanning picks up again when your searches reset on the 1st or you move to a bigger plan.
