What is the benchmark comparison on the proof page?
The benchmark block compares the prospect with every business in the same category that Legiit Leads has measured, across all agencies on the platform. It shows how many of them load faster, how the prospect's Google speed score and star rating rank, how many are still missing schema markup, and how few have an llms.txt file. It only appears once Legiit Leads holds at least 200 leads in that category.
What your prospect sees
The block is titled with the count and the category, for example You, against 1,240 other plumbers we have measured. Below it are up to 5 lines, shown here with example numbers. Each line only shows when the prospect has that measurement:
38% of them load faster than your site: needs the site's load time from the audit.Your Google speed score beats only 22% of them: needs a Google PageSpeed score on the lead.Your 4.2★ rating beats 41% of them: needs a Google star rating. You are in the 64% still missing schema markup: only when the prospect's site has no schema markup.Only 3% are AI-search ready: only when the prospect's site has no llms.txt file. The sentence after it on the page is the same whatever the percentage.
A footnote says it is an anonymous aggregate of real measurements across the platform, same category only. No other business is named.
What the dots mean
- On the load time, speed score and rating lines, the dot is red when the prospect is in the worse half and green otherwise. For load time that means half or more of the others are faster. For speed score and rating it means the prospect beats fewer than half.
- The schema line always has a red dot, and the AI-search line a purple one.
How the numbers are worked out
- The pool is every lead in that category (matched by the Google category name, ignoring capitals) across all Legiit Leads accounts.
- The count in the title is lead records, not distinct businesses. A business found in two searches counts twice, and the prospect's own record is included. The 200 minimum applies to this count.
- The load time, speed score and rating lines compare only against businesses that have that measurement. Ties are not counted either way, and percentages are rounded to whole numbers.
- The schema and AI-search lines are shares of every business in the pool, including those with no website.
- Here, AI-search ready means the site has an llms.txt file. Schema does not count, unlike the AI-search ready row in the lead's audit.
- The numbers are worked out fresh each time the page loads, so they move as more businesses are measured.
Good to know
- If the category has fewer than 200 leads across the platform, the block is left out.
- If the comparison cannot be worked out, the rest of the proof page still loads without it.
- It is included on every plan.
