What does "Market dynamics, last 60 days" on a territory mean?

What it counts

The line counts the territory's own alerts from the last 60 days, in these five groups:

• new businesses opened, a business that appeared in the market
• websites went down, a site that stopped responding
• SSL certificates broke, a certificate that stopped working
• started running ads, a business that began spending on ads
• ratings dropped, a Google rating that fell below 4.0

Groups with a count of zero are left out, so you only ever see the things that actually happened. The line ends with a reminder of why it is worth reading: churn means openings, and every one of these was a buying window.

When it is not there

The whole line is hidden when the territory raised no alerts in the last 60 days. That is normal for a territory that has only had its baseline scan, for a steady market, and for a territory you paused a while ago. It comes back as soon as a scan raises something.

Good to know

• It is one territory's history, not the market's whole story. A change that happened before you claimed the territory was never scanned, so it is not counted.
• A territory keeps its 100 most recent alerts and takes at most 30 from any one scan, so an extremely busy market can lose its oldest counts from this line.
• Buying-window alerts below the line lists the territory's 8 most recent alerts, whatever their age, each with Pitch it → to open the scan that raised it. Alerts from the last 60 days that fall outside those 8 are still counted in Market dynamics, last 60 days:. Anything older than 60 days is not counted there at all, even when it is one of the 8 alerts on the card.
