Why does the onboarding wizard keep reopening?

How it works

The wizard only ever opens on the Dashboard, and only while 3 things are true at the same time: your account has 0 searches, it has not been marked as onboarded, and your account is on a plan (or you have just come back from checkout). The X changes none of them. It hides the wizard on the page in front of you, and nothing about that is saved, so the next time the Dashboard loads Legiit Leads runs the same 3 checks and opens the wizard again.

Only 2 things end it for good:

• Clicking Find My First Leads on the last step (Ready to hunt.) marks your account as onboarded. That mark is saved with your account settings, not in your browser, so it holds on every device and every visit.
• Running a search of your own gives your account its first search. Once the count is above 0 the wizard no longer opens, whether or not you ever finished it.

The plan check is not a way to stop it. If your plan is canceled the wizard stops appearing, but so does searching, and it comes straight back when you pick a plan again. See Why does the wizard show Choose Your Plan instead of running my search?.

The 2 ways to stop it

1. Recommended: finish the wizard. On Who do you sell to? enter a Niche and a City, on What do you sell? describe Your offer, then on Ready to hunt. click Find My First Leads. That last step lists exactly what happens next: a live search and website audit for your niche and city, an AI recommendation check, 3-touch pitch sequences drafted for your top 5 leads, and the chance to approve, edit or skip each one in the Outreach Queue. You are taken straight to the results.
2. Or skip it and run your own search. Close the wizard with the X, click + New Search at the top of the Dashboard (it is also New Search in the sidebar), and run any search. From then on the wizard stays away.

Both routes use 1 search from your monthly allowance. The wizard's search is checked against your plan and counted exactly like a search you start yourself.
