Why does the wizard show Choose Your Plan instead of running my search?

What you will see

On the wizard's last step, Ready to hunt., clicking Find My First Leads (it reads Launching… while it works) asks Legiit Leads to run your first real search. Your account is checked for an active plan before anything is searched. With no plan, the refusal appears in red under the list of what the wizard was about to do, with a purple Choose Your Plan button below it. Nothing is saved yet. Your offer, name and company only reach Settings once the search is accepted, and your niche and city are only ever used for that search, so you will type all of them again when the wizard comes back.

Steps

1. Click Choose Your Plan. The wizard closes and Settings opens.
2. In the Your Plan card, pick Monthly or Annual (2 Months Free), then click the Choose button on the plan you want, for example Choose Starter. Monthly and annual plans are marked 7-day free trial.
3. Settings shows Opening Stripe… and sends you to checkout. Complete it.
4. Checkout returns you to the Dashboard. Your account still has 0 searches, so the wizard opens again, headed ✓ Payment Set Up. Your 7 Day Free Trial Is Active. Fill in the 3 steps and click Find My First Leads.

Why this happens

Normally the wizard does not open on an account without a plan. Instead, a purple banner at the top of every page reads Your account is not on a plan yet, so searches are locked. with its own Choose Your Plan button.

The exception is the moments right after checkout. When you come back from Stripe, Legiit Leads opens the wizard straight away, even though the payment confirmation can take a few seconds to arrive. Click Find My First Leads inside that gap and the plan check has not caught up yet.

Just finished checkout? Wait a few seconds and click Find My First Leads again before choosing a plan a second time. If the search runs, you are done.

Good to know

Which plans count. A plan that is active or in its 7 day free trial counts, and a plan behind on a payment keeps working while the payment is retried. A canceled plan does not, so an account whose plan was canceled sees the same message.

The same check guards every search. When your monthly allowance is used up, the wizard shows You've used all N searches on your plan this month. Upgrade in Settings to keep hunting. instead, where N is your plan's monthly limit. That message has no Choose Your Plan button, so open Settings from the sidebar. The searches meter in the sidebar shows how many you have used.
