Why did my search return few or no leads?

Running a Search · Updated September 23, 2026

Every search starts from up to 60 open businesses that Google supplies for your keywords and location, and that ceiling is the same on every plan. A business only stays on your list if it shows at least one of the problems you ticked and, if you ticked the email box, has an email address on its website. Rare problems, the email box or a small market can leave you with a short list, or none at all.

What you see when nothing matched

A completed search with no matching businesses shows No leads matched the selected problems. Try fewer problem filters or a broader location.

Why the list is short

  • Your problems are rare in this market. A business needs at least one of the problems you ticked, either as a verified problem or as a hint under Worth a look, not verified. If you ticked only one or two uncommon problems, few businesses qualify.
  • The email box is ticked. With Only show leads with an email address found on their site ticked, every business without an email address on its website is left out, including every business with no website at all.
  • The market is small. A small town or a narrow keyword can give fewer than 60 businesses to start with, and any business Google does not list as operating is skipped.
  • Some websites could not be audited. When a site is down or answers with a bot-protection page, no problem can be read from the website. That business can only match problems that come from its Google listing, such as Low Star Rating or Low Review Count, or from the AI check, and it never passes the email box.
  • Site-builder and JavaScript sites. On sites built with tools such as Wix or Squarespace, or that load their content with JavaScript, problems read from the site's code (for example No Meta Pixel) are held as unverified. These businesses still make your list, but the problem shows under Worth a look, not verified, and a follow-up check after the search completes can clear it. So fewer of your leads end up with that problem confirmed.

How to get more leads

  1. Change your problems. Leave every problem unticked to keep every business Google returned, each with its full audit. If you want a filter, remember a business only needs one of the problems you tick, so swapping a rare problem for a common one widens the list.
  2. Try a broader location. Search a bigger nearby city or a wider area, or use a broader keyword.
  3. Untick the email box. Businesses without an email address on their site can still be worth a phone call.
  4. Searching for Invisible to AI Search? Let the search reach Complete before you judge the list. Businesses that qualify through the AI check are added at the very end, after every website audit, so they appear with the final count.

Each new search you run uses 1 search from your monthly allowance, so it is worth adjusting the filters before you search again.
