What do the AI Automation Agency problem filters mean?

Choosing Problems · Updated September 23, 2026

The AI Automation Agency button on New Search shows three problems: Invisible to AI Search, No Chat Widget and No AI Chatbot / Receptionist. The first is settled by asking a real AI assistant about your market. The other two come from the live audit of each business's website.

The starting point is the website: a business is flagged when its site has neither structured data (schema) nor an llms.txt file. While the audits run, an AI assistant with live web search is also asked "Who are the best <keywords> in <location>?" for your search's keywords and location, with the instruction to recommend 5 to 8 businesses by name.

When that answer comes back, it decides the problem for every lead in the search:

  • A lead the AI did not name gets Invisible to AI Search and an AI ✗ badge, even if its site has schema or llms.txt.
  • A lead the AI named loses the problem and gets an AI ✓ badge, even if its site has neither.

Names are matched loosely, ignoring endings such as LLC or Inc. The AI Invisibility Check box above your results shows how many leads never came up; click See the AI's Answer to read it. A lead can join your list at this point if the answer gives it the problem you picked. If no AI answer came back for a search, the problem rests on the schema and llms.txt check alone. On a lead it shows as No AI-search presence. This filter also appears under SEO Agency.

No Chat Widget

Flagged when the audit found neither a live chat widget nor an AI chatbot on the pages it checked. This filter also appears under Email / CRO Agency.

No AI Chatbot / Receptionist

Flagged when no AI chatbot tool, such as Chatbase, Botpress, Voiceflow, Dialogflow, ManyChat or Smith.ai, was found on the site. An ordinary live chat widget does not clear it, so a business can have live chat and still be flagged. The check reads the website only; it does not test how the business answers its phone. On a lead it shows as No AI assistant.

When the chat checks are only hints

On sites that use Google Tag Manager or a site builder (Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, Duda, GoDaddy, Webflow or Shopify), on sites built with JavaScript, and when only one page could be read or a page was too large to read in full, a missing chat tool is held as an unverified hint under Worth a look, not verified. It still lets the lead into your results but stays out of your emails, the proof page and the score.

Google's PageSpeed test settles these hints. It runs by itself on up to 25 of your leads after a search completes, taken in the order they were found, and you can run it on any other lead yourself: open the lead and click Get Google's Official Score in the Live Website Audit section. The button is not there once that lead already has a Google score. If a chat tool loads, the problem is cleared; if a full page load shows none, it becomes a confirmed problem.
