Why did I get an email saying a prospect is reading their audit right now?
Someone just opened that lead's proof page, so Legiit Leads told you the moment it happened. They are looking at their own verified problems while you read the email, which makes it the best moment you will get to call or reply. The Open the Lead button in the email takes you straight to that lead.
What the email says
The subject is the business name followed by is reading their audit right now, for example Smith Dental is reading their audit right now.
Inside, it says they just opened their proof page. If this is not their first open, the sentence carries the open number, such as (open #3), so you can tell a quick glance from someone who keeps coming back.
At the bottom is one button, Open the Lead. It opens Pipeline with that lead's drawer already open, so the evidence, the phone number and a button through to the drafts are in front of you.
How often it arrives
- At most one alert per lead every 6 hours. A prospect clicking around their report does not fill your inbox.
- No alert at all for a lead you have already moved to Won or Lost.
- The alert goes to the email address you sign in with.
Where the same opens show up in the app
Every open is counted on the lead, not just the ones that triggered an email. The Today panel on your Dashboard shows a reading their audit card listing the leads opened in the last 24 hours, with each one's open count. See What is the Today panel on the Dashboard?.
The lead's activity trail also records the opens, adding one entry per reading session rather than one per page refresh.
If you opened the proof page yourself from Preview, that is not counted and no alert is sent.
