Why does booking say That time was just taken?

Booking Calls · Updated September 22, 2026

That time was just taken. Pick another slot. means the time the prospect clicked is no longer open. Usually another prospect booked it first, or it is now less than 2 hours away. The list of times refreshes by itself, so the prospect just picks another time and books again.

Why a time stops being open

Each time a prospect clicks the book button, Legiit Leads checks the time against your open times at that moment. The time fails the check when:

  • Someone else booked it. Open times are shared across all your proof pages, so a prospect on another lead's page can take it first. Two people can never book the same start time.
  • The page was left open. Times less than 2 hours away are never offered. A prospect who opened the page earlier and books later can pick a time that is now too close.
  • You changed your booking settings. If you changed the hours, days, call length or time zone in Settings after the prospect opened the page, the times they see may no longer match yours.

What the prospect should do

After the message, the list of times reloads and the taken time is gone. The green button can still show the old time, so the prospect should click a different time, check the button shows it, and click it again.

The other messages

  • Booking isn't available on this page. The booking block has been switched off. It shows when you untick Show a booking block on my proof pages after the prospect opened the page. Tick it again and click Save Settings; the prospect then needs to reload the page.
  • Pick a time and enter your email. The booking arrived without a time or a proper email address. This is rare, because the button stays greyed out until the email contains an @. The prospect should click the time again and retype their email.
  • Not available. The lead behind this proof page no longer exists, for example because its search was deleted after the prospect opened the page. No booking can be made on it.

The booking block does not show at all

The block is hidden, with no message, when there are no open times today or in the next 9 days. Check the Book-a-Call on Your Proof Pages card in Settings:

  • Show a booking block on my proof pages is ticked, and you clicked Save Settings afterwards.
  • At least one day is switched on (purple) under Days.
  • Until is later than Available from, with room for at least one call of your Call length.
  • Your times are not all booked or within the next 2 hours.

If you use your own booking link instead, the Book A Call button always shows, and times are handled by your scheduler. See using your own booking link.
