How do I create a retail plan in SaaS Mode?

Steps

1. Open Settings and find the SaaS Mode card. If it reads Connect Stripe first (Get Paid card above) so clients can pay you., finish the Get Paid card first.
2. Plan name: the name your customers see on the signup page. On their Stripe receipt the same name appears with (lead generation platform) after it. It starts as Lead Generation Pro and is limited to 80 characters. Left blank, it is saved as Lead Generation.
3. Price $/mo: what your customer pays you every month. It starts as 197.
4. Tier: pick Basic (50 searches) or Plus (100 searches). The tier sets the sub-account's monthly search allowance and sets what you pay: $47 a month for a Basic account, $97 a month for a Plus account.
5. Click Add Plan. The button reads Creating… while it works, then the new plan appears in the list above the form.

Plans in SaaS Mode are monthly subscriptions.

What the price is allowed to be

A Basic plan must be at least $47 and a Plus plan at least $97, the tier's wholesale cost. A price under that is refused with Retail must be at least the wholesale cost ($47/mo for Basic). Selling below wholesale loses money., or the same message reading ($97/mo for Plus) on a Plus plan.

On top of that, no plan may be under $97 a month: a Basic plan priced from $47 up to just under $97 is refused with Price at $97/mo or above. Below that, resold accounts churn hardest (this is the documented cliff).

Either price message appears in red under the form. Change the number and click Add Plan again.

Add Plan also answers Finish your Stripe onboarding first (Settings, Get Paid). if your Stripe account is connected but its onboarding is not finished. See Why does SaaS Mode say "Connect Stripe first" or refuse to add a plan?

What you see once it is saved

Each live plan is listed as its name, its price per month, then its tier and your approximate margin, for example Basic tier · your margin ~$150/mo. The margin is your monthly price minus the tier's wholesale cost, so a $197 Basic plan leaves about $150 a month and a $297 Plus plan leaves about $200 a month.

A real recurring price is created on your connected Stripe account at the same time, named after your plan, so your customers' subscriptions and receipts live in your own Stripe dashboard.

Retiring a plan

Click Retire on a plan to take it off your signup page. New customers can no longer choose it. Anyone already on that plan keeps their account and keeps counting toward your wholesale seats, which is covered in How does wholesale billing work when I resell the platform?

You can list more than one plan at a time. Every active plan shows as its own card on your signup page, in price order.
