How much can I charge for a playbook and how do I get paid?

Setting the price

In the builder, Price $ (0 = free; paid needs Stripe connected) takes the amount in dollars.

• 0 lists the playbook free. Its card shows the badge FREE and buyers install it with one click.
• Any other amount has to fall between $47 and $997. Outside that range, publishing is refused with "Paid playbooks run $47 to $997. Or make it free."

The price shown on the card is the whole cost to the buyer. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Once the sale completes, the playbook shows as installed on the buyer's account and the buy button is gone, so they cannot pay for it a second time. If a buyer tells you they paid but the playbook never installed, ask them to reopen the page Stripe returned them to; if that does not fix it, email help@legiit.com before they pay again.

What you keep

The builder says it plainly under the publish button: "Paid playbooks charge through your Stripe; the platform keeps 15%."

So on a $297 playbook the buyer is charged $297 in US dollars, $44.55 goes to Legiit Leads as the platform fee, and the remaining $252.45 lands in your Stripe account, less whatever Stripe charges you for processing the payment.

How the money reaches you

1. The buyer clicks Buy For $X on your card.
2. A Stripe checkout page opens. The charge is raised on your connected Stripe account, in US dollars, described as Playbook: followed by your playbook title.
3. When Stripe confirms the payment, the buyer is returned to the market, the playbook installs on their account, and the sale is recorded against yours with the amount and the fee.

The money never passes through a Legiit Leads balance, so there is no separate payout schedule to wait for. It follows your own Stripe payout settings, the same as the proposal deposits and client retainers you collect.

Connecting Stripe

Paid playbooks only work once your Stripe account is connected and able to take charges.

1. Open Settings in the sidebar.
2. Find the Get Paid card.
3. Click Connect Stripe and complete Stripe's questions.
4. When it is done, the card shows ✓ STRIPE CONNECTED · payments enabled.

Free playbooks need none of this. If you want to list one without touching Stripe, set the price to 0.
