What is a State of the Market report and how do I publish one?

State of the Market Reports · Updated September 23, 2026

A State of the Market report is a public page under your agency name that turns one finished search into a study of a local market. To publish one, open a finished search and click Market Report at the top right, which copies the link to your clipboard and opens the page in a new tab. It is built only from the evidence that search already collected, so publishing it runs no new checks, uses none of your monthly searches, and is included on every plan.

Steps

  1. Open a completed search. You are already on its results page when a search finishes, or you can open it later from Search History and click View.
  2. Click Market Report at the top right of the results page, next to Export CSV ▾.
  3. The button reads Publishing… while the page is created, then Link Copied ✓ for 2.5 seconds.
  4. The link is copied to your clipboard and the report opens in a new tab so you can read it before you share it.

What the page looks like

The headline reads The State of your search keywords in your location, under a line that says Market research by and your agency name. Below that sits the number of businesses checked and the date the search ran.

The agency name comes from Company Name in the Your Agency card in Settings. If you have not saved one, the page says Your Local Agency instead. Your logo and accent colour appear too once you have saved them.

Good to know

  • Nothing on the report is new research. It is the same audits, ratings and AI answers the search already gathered, arranged as a public page.
  • Clicking Market Report again on the same search reuses the same link, so an address you have already shared keeps working.
  • If you have a verified domain of your own, the link is built on that domain instead of the Legiit Leads address.
  • The link stays live for as long as the search exists. There is no Unpublish button, so the only way to take a report down is to delete the search, which also deletes every lead it found.
  • The report shows business names, ratings and verified website problems. It never shows the email addresses or contact people you found.
  • Each search gets its own report. Run a search for a different trade or town and publish that one separately.
