What do the Social / Influencer problem filters mean?

Choosing Problems · Updated September 22, 2026

The Social / Influencer button on New Search shows two problems: No Social Presence and No Video / YouTube. Both come from the social links the live audit found, or did not find, on the business's own website, so they only apply to businesses whose site could be audited.

What each filter means

  • No Social Presence: the audit found no links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X or Pinterest on the pages it checked. Links to Threads, Snapchat, Nextdoor, Yelp, Bluesky or WhatsApp also count as a presence, so a site that links only to those is not flagged. On a lead it shows as No social links.
  • No Video / YouTube: no link to YouTube and no embedded YouTube video was found on the pages checked. Video on other platforms, such as TikTok, does not count. On a lead it shows as No video presence. This filter also appears under SEO Agency.

A site with no social links at all gets both problems.

Where the audit looks

The audit reads the homepage plus the contact, about and booking pages it can find. It counts ordinary links as well as profile links tucked into the page's code for search engines and social sharing. Open a lead and the Social links row of the Live Website Audit lists the profiles it found.

When it is only a hint

If the site loads its content with JavaScript, only one page could be read, or a page was too large to read in full, a missing link may simply be one the audit could not see. In those cases the absence is held as an unverified hint instead of a flagged problem, and the Social links row reads Not found (unverified).

Hints show on the lead under Worth a look, not verified. They still let the lead into your results, but they stay out of your emails, the proof page and the score. Google's PageSpeed check does not look at social links, so open the site yourself before you pitch a hint.

Good to know

  • Neither problem can be flagged for a business with no website, a site that could not be reached, or one that showed a bot-protection page instead of its content.
