How long does a search take?

What decides how long it takes

• How many businesses Google returns. A search starts from up to 60 businesses, read from Google in up to 3 pages of 20.
• How fast their websites answer. Each homepage gets about 10 seconds to respond, and each extra page (contact, about, booking) about 8 seconds. Slow or unreachable sites take the longest; businesses with no website are quick.
• The AI answer and Google results check. The AI question runs alongside the audits and a check of Google's results follows them. The search is only marked complete once both are in.
• Other searches. If another search is already being processed, yours waits its turn and starts a little later. Until then the results page shows it as running with no rows. A search that gets stuck gives up its place after 20 minutes, so the queue always moves on.

While you wait

The results page refreshes itself every 2.5 seconds while the search runs, so there is no need to reload. The subtitle reads Searching Google Places and auditing every website live. Leads appear as they finish… and the dark bar above the table shows LIVE: auditing this market with running counts of leads found, verified problems and est. sellable pipeline.

You can leave the page. The search keeps going, and you can reopen it later from Search History, where the Leads column shows … until it completes.

After it says complete

A few checks carry on in the background: a Google PageSpeed check on up to 25 leads, and a look at the competitors the AI named. These can take several more minutes and may change some findings and scores. The results page stops refreshing itself once the search is complete, so reload it to see those updates.
