Why do some of my links still use the Legiit Leads address after I verified my domain?
Because a link is written at the moment you copy it or the AI writes the email, not afterwards. Anything you copied or sent before your domain verified keeps the address it was given then, and nothing goes back and rewrites it. Copy the link again and the new copy uses your domain.
Why a brand new link can still be the old one
A tab you already had open keeps the address it loaded with, so a link copied there can still be the old one. Reload Legiit Leads in that tab, then copy it again.
What to do
- Reload Legiit Leads in every tab you have open.
- Open the lead, client or search again and copy the link fresh.
- Check the copied address starts with your own domain.
Old links are not broken
Your public pages are served on both addresses, so a proof, report, portal, delivery or audit link you sent on the Legiit Leads address still opens for the prospect exactly as before. There is no need to chase anyone down and resend. Just use your own domain from here on.
Emails the AI already wrote are plain text by the time they reach your drafts, so a proof link sitting in an unsent draft still carries the old address. Regenerate that email if you want the branded link in it.
