Is there a limit on territories, and is a territory exclusive to me?
There is no cap on how many territories you can claim, and claiming one does not reserve that market for you. Another account can monitor the same keywords in the same city, and neither of you ever sees the other's territories or alerts. What limits you in practice is your monthly search allowance, because every scan uses one of your searches.
How many can I claim?
Legiit Leads does not set a number today. When you claim one, the only thing checked is that you have filled in both Keywords and Location: Claim & Run First Scan Later stays greyed out until you have. Your plan does not change that number either: the plans table lists Monitored Markets with buying-window alerts (each scan uses a search) on Starter, Agency, Agency Pro and Agency Empire alike.
Claiming is not reserving
The button says + Claim Territory, but a claim is a watch list entry, not a licence to a postcode. Nothing stops another agency from monitoring dentists in Tampa while you do. If you are choosing between markets, pick the ones you can actually service rather than trying to fence one off.
What is private is your side of it. Your territories, their scan history and their alerts belong to your account and are only ever listed back to you, so no other customer can see which markets you watch or what your scans turned up.
What more territories really cost you
Searches. Every territory runs a full live search and audit of its whole market every 7 days, and each of those scans uses one of your plan's monthly searches, so 10 territories spend about 40 searches a month before you have run a single search yourself. The searches meter at the bottom of the sidebar counts scans and your own searches together. Once the month's allowance is gone, scheduled scans are skipped and Re-Scan Now is refused until the allowance resets on the 1st, so a long list of territories can quietly eat the searches you wanted for hunting new markets.
They fill up your work as well: each scan adds a search to your Search History, and the alerts land on the territory card for you to read. Claim the markets you will genuinely call into, and Pause the ones you are not working right now, which stops their scans and the searches they would have spent.
